Why YOU should be linking up to Link Parties

You had an idea for a blog and you put the time into creating your vision.  You share ideas, stories, pictures.  So how do you get your blog out there and gain new readers?

You can sit at your laptop and patiently wait for readers to find you but guess what-you’re going to be waiting a long time! We’ve already covered getting yourself out there on Google+, and covered basics of Facebook, Twitter, and other Social Media but in addition to networking and connecting with social media you are doing yourself a disservice if you fail to link up your blog to Link parties.

What is a Link Party?

Simply put a Link Party is a content sharing arena.  A hosting blog will use a linking tool to allow you to link something in particular to their site.  You then browse other links within the party and explore new blogs.  It’s a great way to find new blogs to read and share your content with others.

How do you find a Link Party to join?

There are TONS of link parties out there.  I suggest you start with Linky Here, a website with a directory of link parties you can search by day or topic.  There are link parties for almost every kind of blogging genre out there-get out there and explore!  Be sure to read these tips on linky party etiquette to get the most from your links!
